SCOPERTA - THE FINE INTERIOR
TEXTILES EXHIBITION
In terms of facts and figures at Scoperta 2005 we saw
an 8% increase in visitor numbers (19% increase over the past
3 years) from 57 countries including key buyers from such
far-reaching places as Japan, Brazil, New Zealand & Australia.
In addition many exhibitors, such as Boelart & Moens from
Belgium, did more business in the first day then they did
in the whole week the previous year.
The Trade Link team has worked hard at making Scoperta "a
must visit" show providing a platform for exhibitors
from around the world. We recognise the importance of supporting
the current textile market in Europe and believe the key for
both the industry's and Scoperta's success has been innovation.
And it is this theme we will be continuing to promote in the
future. Subsequently, the design section, incorporated into
Scoperta, was a vital element in providing cutting edge designs
and predicting future trends. Needless to say there was a
constant buzz surrounding this area of the show.
Ronald
Baetans of Boelart & Moens, Belgium who has
exhibited for 3 years has been delighted with the show and
stated "We did even more business on the first day compared
to the whole of the show in 2004."
Ratiya Chantian, Marketing Director, Satin Textiles
with her team commented that this year, their 4th, has been
the best that they have had and have already rebooked for
2006. They mentioned that one buyer who returned after a year's
absence, felt that the quality was much better and there were
nicer designs to be seen. They have seen existing and new
buyers from America, Italy, Switzerland, Germany and Greece,
both existing and new customers too.
Scoperta was first held in 1999. In 2006 Scoperta is moving
to Fiera Milano - a brand new venue in Italy close to the
attractions of Como and Cernobbio.
The dates for Scoperta 2006 are 9-12 May 2006
