Now in its 7th year, Scoperta is moving to the new Fiera Milano venue in Milan, Italy.

The move to Italy will place Scoperta in amongst the top 3 textile exhibitions being held around the world. A point, which has become increasingly more apparent this year as visitor numbers increased again from the previous year (up by 8% and 19% over the last 3 years), whilst many other events in the sector have experienced a decline in visitor numbers.

The new Fiera Milano is possibly one of the most important venues to be built in Europe in the last decade offering a truly international venue for the textiles industry to gather. The venue offers all the latest facilities and services, and is ideally located, 25 minutes from Malpensa and Linate airports as well as being only a 30 minute journey to the Cernobbio.

Free shuttle buses will operate from the airports to Scoperta as well as running throughout the day to and from Cernobbio. For those that drive themselves, the new Fiera Milano is 5 minutes from the motorway and offers 10,000 free parking spaces and if they decide to take a train, the fast rail link has a new station onsite, making the journey into Milan centre fast and efficient.

Olivier Hellyn of Movelta who sits on the Scoperta Steering Committee is not alone in his reaction to the news...
