Scoperta Creativa is a focal point for the industry
to interact and explore the future of textile design
and production. Whilst the plans for 2007 are not fully
fixed, you can read below what Scoperta Creativa offered
the industry during this years show:
“THE SEED” TREND FORUM
The trend forum within Scoperta Creativa’s theatre
of trends is an inspirational area comprising new technologies
and challenges the field of indoor textiles, design
and culture. This exciting area has been uniquely developed
by “the seed” – a global creative
team – in collaboration with selected partners
and NedGraphics. It is a dynamic and creative forum,
where visitors will be able to see the work of talented
artists from diverse arts become real masterpieces.
Within the forum, there will be 3 design stations for
3D-graphic, textile and visual designers working throughout
the daily workshops. Their creations will be projected
onto a large screen as the ideas develop so that the
visitor will be able to interact with the designers
and actually witness how a textile design is carried
out from the early conception to the final product.
These designers include October Studios, Idea Jacquard,
Irene Van Vliet and ID-A-Design.
METALS… FILIGREE… LACES: CRISSCROSSED
STORIES
Within Scoperta Creativa, a dedicated gallery space
has been developed for Baco’s’ exhibition,
“metals…filigree…laces: crisscrossed
stories”.
This special exhibition represents a figurative journey
across a world of pictures, objects, and emotions and
clearly shows how soft, nearly intangible curtains with
silk embroideries can surprisingly marry a piece of
fine interior decoration using filigree. The exhibition
shows this relationship using furniture, fabrics and
the art of filigree.
Gegia Bronzini
You will also get the opportunity to see some stunning
woven art pieces by Gegia Bronzini, displayed throughout
Creativa. "Gegia Bronzini", one of the outstanding
firms of the Italian textile sector, takes its inspiration
from the great artistic sensitivity of its founder,
Gegia Bronzini, and the tradition of Italian rural weaving.
